Yes, ARC tabs are designed to last for years if used properly by a technician. Technicians are advised clean up the panel with alcohol then warm up the panel and the tabs with a heat gun (5-10 Seconds/each) before applying glue.
While some aluminum car panels requires heating, other does not. It’s not true that all aluminum panels of all cars are supposed to be heated while pulling, some manufacturers allow only glue pulling for aluminum repair or else replace the part.
ARC tabs will work with or without heating. It heating is needed, technicians are advice to water spray the tab and heat the damaged area with a heat gun and pull at the same time.
